Douglas R. Wright, CPA
Douglas R. Wright, CPA is a Partner at Gordon Advisors, P.C. and is
in charge of the firm's Accounting and Auditing Department. He
joined the firm in 1998 and has over 20 years of experience
servicing primarily privately held companies and nonprofit
organizations.
Before joining Gordon
Advisors, Mr. Wright began his public accounting career at a
multi-national accounting firm and left in 1990 to form his own
practice. In addition to providing accounting and auditing
services, Doug has extensive experience providing general
business consulting to his clients, especially relating to the
design and assessment of their internal control and financial
reporting systems. Doug also provides peer review services, as
well as corporate and personal taxation compliance work.
Mr. Wright is a
graduate of the University of Michigan and is a member of the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan
Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). Doug just
completed a term as chairperson of the MACPA Small Practitioners Task
Force and has presented on a number of topics to other public
accountants and business professionals. He currently serves as
a member of the Finance Committee of Common Ground Sanctuary.
Mr Wright focuses his
continuing professional education on issues relevant to audits of
small business, governmental auditing standards, designing audits to
focus on the risks of fraud, and tax issues facing non-profits.
